The 62nd Munich Security Conference is taking place at the Bayerischer Hof hotel in Munich, Germany. The event runs from Friday to Sunday and brings together more than 60 heads of state and government, along with 50 leaders of international organizations. In total, representatives from at least 115 countries are attending. On the first day, French President Emmanuel Macron said Europe needs to become stronger and more united. He admitted that there are differences between the two sides that need attention. On the second day, several major leaders are participating. These include US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Syria’s top diplomat Asaad Hasan al-Shaibani. The conference focuses on global security, international cooperation, and major political challenges facing the world today.
